music specialist
We are seeking a Music Specialist for students ranging from toddlers through 8th grade. We hope to meet candidates who are comfortable working with both older and younger students. Familiarity with Montessori learning philosophy is helpful but not required. This is a part-time position that includes paid prep time. Schedule is flexible within 8:00 am-2:30 pm, Monday-Friday. Job available after August 25.
Qualifications:
Manage a class of 8-10 students
Experience with playing a variety of instruments (including but not limited to: keyboard, drums, guitar)
Experience teaching music (preferred)
Experience with small-scale productions (preferred)
Subjects to be taught include:
Toddler – Pre-Kindergarten: Rhythm, movement, and sound exploration to help develop auditory skills, coordination, and an early appreciation for music.
Elementary – Middle School: Music theory fundamentals, music history, and instrument exploration/education.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Schedule:
4-hour shift
Day shift
Monday to Friday
