Community Helpers and Gardening
For ages 2 and 3
Young children will enjoy two of their favorite subjects in an environment custom made for their needs. Visits from community helpers from our town and a field trip to the local fire station will delight and educate. We will also be digging and planting in our organic garden. Singing, stories, and craft projects will be part of the daily program along with water play (weather permitting) and nature hikes on the school's beautiful ten acre campus.
     
Community Helpers and Montessori Math
For ages 4 through 6.
The wonderful Ojai community will come to life for your children while they explore its unique diversity. The children will learn about Ojai's community helpers through visits from our neighbors. On-site presentations by guest speakers will inform and fascinate your children. Visits to our post office and fire departments are sure to enhance the program. Water play will top off a summer filled with fun. The children will also spend part of each day learning math using Montessori materials that make math fun!
     
Peace Leaders of the World and Montessori Algebra and Fractions
For ages 7 through 11.
Nelson Mandela, Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr. and Maria Montessori are among the famous peace leaders of the world children will learn about this summer. This unit will include factual stories, activities and fun projects to delight and educate your child. The children will also spend part of each day learning algebra and fractions using the Montessori materials that make math fun!
