| Community Helpers and Gardening
|
|
Session One & Two: Ocean Life & Gardening - For ages 2
and 3
In both sessions, students will be studying Pacific Ocean
life and digging, planting and watering in our organic garden.
All activities will delight and educate. Singing, stories,
and craft projects will be part of the daily program, along
with water play. Hikes on the school's beautiful ten-acre
campus and visits to the school goats (Mocha & Oreo) and pony
(Star) will round out the summer learning experience.

| California National Parks and Montessori
Math
|
|
Session One: For ages 4 through 6. Math will enhance the
summer program.
You will be amazed at what a child can learn when math concepts
are taught "the Montessori way". Exploring our California
National Parks will add excitement and interest each day.
Cross-curriculum art projects, songs and water play will top
off a great way to start summer for your children. This session
promised to be an enriching experience. We will focus on a
study of national parks including our local Channel Islands
and will participate in a variety of outdoor skills including
camping, bird-watching, compass work, & map reading along
with some fun outdoor-related art projects.

| Insects and Montessori Math
|
|
Session Two: For ages 4 through 6.
The second session, the class will be studying insects through
the amazing books and illustrations of Eric Carle. The children
will be learning parts, diet and life cycle of an insect through
ready "The Very Grouchy Ladybug", "The Very Quiet Cricket",
and more! Each day will include songs, stories and art projects
and there will be ample to time on math concepts utilizing
the Montessori Method.

| National Parks and Montessori Math
|
|
Session One: For ages 7 through 11.
This session promises to be an enriching experience. We will
focus on a study of national parks including out local Channel
Islands and will participate in a variety of outdoor skills
including camping, bird-watching, compass work & map reading,
along with some fun outdoor-related art projects. Children
will also spend part of each day learning algebra and fractions
using the Montessori materials that make math fun!

| Summer Fruit and Writing
|
|
Session Two: For ages 7 through 11.
Session Two is for experienced and budding writers alike.
We will use the summer's bounty to help us expand our descriptive
abilities. Writing projects will include poetry, descriptive
essays, and stories. Time will be spent outside in the school's
garden. Join us for this fun and delicious session
